Passage | Sculpture | Iron wire, stick, paint, gold leaf 144x36x38 inches

The sculpture is hand formed iron wire and 23kt gold leaf on painted wood found while walking from the bus stop to my studio in Chicago. The height of the sculpture is approximately 12 feet, but can change depending the space where the sculpture is placed. The width and depth are at constant 32x36 inches, below is a detail inside the torso.

If we could take an X-ray of a persons thoughts moving through their body what does it look like? How would the layers of thinking move through the internal body. Each piece from this series may evoke in the viewer different emotions through the marks of brushstrokes. This series is abstract representations of internal conversations. These silhouettes seem like an X-ray of thoughts happening within someone.
